The Process
A Reef memorial begins by mixing ashes with cement and water to create a new placement sculpture. Once cured its deployed to the Reef. Though our contract allows for 1 year, deployments typically occur within 90 days of receipt of the ashes.
- A sales agreement is made for services selected.
- Ashes are stored in a vault.
- The placement sculpure is created by mixing the ashes with cement and water, then placed into a mold.
- The placement sculpture is protectively stored pending deployment. Deployment is scheduled based on family’s availability, the diver’s availability and in accordance with sea conditions.
- The placement sulpture is deployed to the reef.
- The family receives a certificate of completion, along with links to the online memorial page and online photos package.
