Memorialization in the Reef is achieved by carefully mixing ashes with cement and water, then molded into the placement style chosen at the time of purchase. It is then secured on the reef structures with a memorial copper plaque.

Location on the Reef varies depending on the type of Placement style selected. Families may be present during the mixing process and/or deployment. Even if your loved one has already been cremated you can still choose to have them memorialized in the Reef.
